Porcini Mushrooms
Porcini are prized mushrooms of the Boletus variety. The stalk is a light brown colour and the cap is darker.
The colour varies according to the undergrowth and to the trees in the wood where the mushrooms grow.
The flavour is both delicate and intense.
The mushrooms can be found between May and Autunm, depending on place, type and altitude.
The natural habitat is woodland, and they can be found in all the forested areas of Tuscany.
