Bringoli

BRINGOLO

The Bringolo

Bringolo is a kind of pasta similar to spaghetti or better pici, made with flour and water (not with eggs).

They are typical from Anghiari area near Sal Sepolcro in the Valtiberiana area and in mid November there is an important food festival dedicated to San Martino and to the bringoli where it's possible to taste this kind of pasta and also other specialities of the area like chestnuts, cheeses, honeys and also the brustichino, a sandwhich with grilled sausages, olive oil, garlic in a toasted bread..excellent!

Generally bringoli are cooked al sugo finto, fake sausage way, but also excellent are with extra virgin olive oil and parmesan cheese.
